Sacred Bathers (Print)
Sacred Bathers (Print)
Description:
I have utilised brusho dyes, sumi ink, and a printed element to capture the essence of Oshun, the revered Orisha or Goddess worshiped by the Yoruba people, at the sacred river in Oshogbo, Nigeria. Oshun embodies the virtues of love, beauty, and creativity. I have portrayed the river goddess from multiple angles, presenting three unique interpretations of her divine presence. I aimed to evoke a tranquil atmosphere and the vivid richness of colours I experienced during my journey to Oshogbo.
Printed on Giclée Bamboo Paper.
